The Mamba Chronicles: Road Woes - LA Lost 4 Straight to Open the Season

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Mamba has lost 4 straight games as they open the season on 4 road games. The team that is being lead by sophomore guard "Hollywood" Rob Scott who is by far the only player that is performing for this team needs help if they expect to notch a few wins here & there this season.

MAMBA OPENS SEASON IN JERSEY; FALTERS IN 2ND HALF AS HOOPS GETS W

HOOPS (H) - 121 W MAMBA (A) - 105

THE NOISE: The Mamba only have 2 players scoring in double figures as 6th Man Jason Thomas erupted for 38 pts on 13/20 FG (6/9 3FG, 6/6 FT) off the bench as starter Mike Thurston played only 14 mins due to foul trouble. Star guard Hollywood Rob posted 24 pts, 7 rebs, 5 dimes, 2 stls & 2 blks but wasn't enough. LA was outscored 62-45 in the 2nd half after leading by 1 in the 1st halr 60-59. ROOKIE WATCH: Slim Martin scored in double digits in 24 mins of play posting 10 pts on 3/5 FG, 2/4 3FG & 2/2 FT but still hasn't logged an assist, he grabbed 3 rebs as well as recording 1 stl & 1 blk. Star guard Hollywood Rob Scott lead the attack as he played 41 mins scoring 26 pts but shot only 7/20 FG (4/11 3FG, 8/10 FT) as well as grabbing 18 boards w/ 3 asts, 3 blks & 1 stl, Steven Phillips helped him w/ 17 pts, 8 rebs, 4 asts & 3 stls while DJ Nurse put up 13 pts, 6 rebs, 3 asts, 2 blks & 1 stl, off the bench 6th man Jason Thomas added 10 pts but shot an abysmal 4/19 FG (2/9 3FG). ROOKIE WATCH: Top rookie Slim Martin finally recorded 2 asts this game & posted 9 pts on 4/6 FG & 1/2 3FG, he also added 2 rebs & 1 stl. Brian Sides played 27 mins and shot 2/8 FG, 1/4 3FG & 0/3 FT to finish w/ 5 pts, 4 blks & 2 rebs, Teddy Mitchell comes in & recorded 14 mins while shooting 2/8 FG, for 4 pts w/ 5 rebs as well. Daniel Street didn't play due to injury.

CHARGE STRONG 1ST HALF FINISHED MAMBA; HANDED THEM 4 STRAIGHT DEFEAT

THE NOISE: The Mamba continues their failure to defend the paint as they were outscored 50-32 while also being outran 19-10 (fastbreak points) en route to a sound 119-110 lose on the road marking their 4th straight & stays winless this season. Hollywood Rob posted another double-double w/ 23 pts on 8/12 FG (2/2 3FG & 5/8 FT) w/ 13 rebs, 6 asts & 4 stls, DJ Nurse helped w/ 22 pts on 7/12 FG, 4/8 3FG & 4/4 FT and off the bench rookie Teddy Mitchell added 13 pts on 16 mins as well as 5 boards, Steven Phillips notchec 11 pts, 7 rebs & 3 blks and Bria Sides & Marcus Lent both got 10 a piece. Charge's Jack Bennett lead w/ 29 pts, 10 asts, 6 rebs & 1 blk while Chong-Yee Zhao added 28 pts & 11 rebs, off the bench former Mamba Egmont Villanueve added 13 pts & 6 rebs while Lesean Pepper posted 11 pts as well.
