Copely Barnes owner of the Denver Peak called for a press conference today. He informed the SIBA Commissioner that they were filing a petition to change their nickname from the Peaks to the Big Horns. Barnes was stated, "We needed a new beginning with a new name. Our organization wanted to turn around our team and we think this will do it."
When I asked GM Lue Rollins what he thought about the name change he responded, "I just need to help this team win games." Let's hope is change will attract free agent to this team so, they can turn around their fortunes.
